The speaker of the Huawei Mate 10 Pro is damaged by water despite having an IP67 certification because the certification only guarantees protection against water immersion up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. If the speaker is exposed to water pressure greater than that or for a longer duration, it can still get damaged. Additionally, the IP67 certification does not cover all types of water damage, such as exposure to saltwater or other liquids. It is important to follow the manufacturer's guidelines for water resistance to prevent damage. **
