The skin peels as part of the natural process of shedding dead skin cells. This shedding occurs when the top layer of the skin, known as the epidermis, renews itself. The old skin cells are pushed to the surface and eventually flake off. Factors such as sun exposure, dry air, certain skin conditions, or using harsh skincare products can accelerate the peeling process. Proper hydration, gentle exfoliation, and moisturizing can help promote healthy skin turnover and reduce excessive peeling. **
