The gym typically notifies members in advance of the renewal date and provides instructions on how to cancel if they do not wish to continue. This system is designed to provide convenience for members who want to continue their membership without having to go through the renewal process each time, but it also requires members to actively manage their membership to avoid automatic renewal. **
